Needed a blender to make smoothies in the morning. Crushes and ice and frozen fruit really well.

Comments about Kalorik 48 oz. Brushed Stainless Steel Blender:
I bought this on the recommendation of a popular cooking magazine. I use it mostly for smoothies. So far I am pleased. However, I have noticed that it doesn't blend the frozen mango pieces very well. And its louder than I expected after reading reviews.
The design is nice and its easy to use and clean.
Overall I like it and would buy it again.

Comments about Kalorik 48 oz. Brushed Stainless Steel Blender:
I have used this blender mainly with making drinks, smoothies and pesto and light spreads. As the discription says it is a powerful blender and does well in crushing ice and blending frozen fruit in smoothies and so far I am happy with its performance in these areas.
I love the glass jar and design of the blade. The only concerns I have are the plastic parts that seem to be cheaply made. This makes me wonder how long they will last in comparison with the powerful motor and the rest of the machine.

Comments about Kalorik 48 oz. Brushed Stainless Steel Blender:
The little blender has only three speeds if you count pulse. Which in most cases is all that I need. Those blenders with a myriad of buttons, I found of little use. I mostly need to puree soup and sauces which is find for this product. The pitcher is rather small, so you may have to do your blending in batches. I like how little counter space is taken up by this blender. It is easy to clean and has lots of power. I have not used it to crush ice, but I would think it would do fine. It is a bit noisy, but then aren't most blenders?

Comments about Kalorik 48 oz. Brushed Stainless Steel Blender:
I bought this blender for my boyfriend who complained regularly about our plastic-pitcher pretty-cheap blender. He's been making lots of smoothies, aka "protein shakes" and was frustrated with the smell of burning rubber that came with any heavy duty usage and a blade that was terrifying to clean. So, I took Cooks Illustrated recommendation and purchased this AMAZING blender. It's simple (has three settings), has six really easy to clean blades, and a very sturdy glass pitcher. In addition to smoothies and shakes I'm fully confident that this blender can handle hummus, pestos, summer time margaritas, etc.!

This product looks good, has a glass jug/pitcher but is not well designed. The pitcher does not sit tight in the motor section. I would not recommend or re-purchase this item or other Kalorik items for this reason. [...]

Comments about Kalorik 48 oz. Brushed Stainless Steel Blender:
It's fine if you don't mind cleaning your counters and ceiling after pureeing soup. What a disaster, several times over. On each of several attempts to blend only a 1/4th to a 1/3rd of a pitcher's worth of soup ingredients, the soup shot through the top. I tried holding the lid down with both hands, and then my daughter's hands on top of mine. No way to control -- even just turning on the pulse button for 1 second. I don't think I can return it because I'm past the 30 days, but I definitely have to buy a different blender. I've also contacted the company to complain.

Doesn't do advertised job on smoothies. Leaves larger bits of fruit than expected.
